For me drawing opens a portal between the inner and outer worlds - drawings are artifacts brought back from the other side. My visual art practice is an attempt to bring the immaterial spirits of my unconscious into form in the material universe. These drawings are spells that open a channel between the inner/outer worlds.

My visual style draws from alchemical manuscripts, psychedelia, Jungian theory, mythology, tattoo, folklore and occult & religious iconography.

The images here portray aspects of my own personal cosmology, and are a way of honoring the power and mystery of what we see through the inner eye. -NM
